So another month has zipped by – July seemed to go so quickly! It has been a mega busy month – but we did enjoy a lovely long weekend escape to Isle of Wight (which you can read about here!) and enjoyed an incredible heat wave in London and all that it entails – drinking and eating outside, you know the drill! So what have I been loving this month? Let’s dive right in!
1 – Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renascence Palette
I did an entire post dedicated to this palette as a first impressions and the love I had for it has only grown! When you first open the palette up it looks a little intimidating with its warm red and orange tones but I find I have been reaching for this every day to create so many looks – from warm smokey eyes to golden tones! I won’t go on about it too much – if you want to see inside the palette and two looks I created using it – click here!
2 – Ru Pauls Drag Race
This has been my new trash TV obsession! I was feeling a little coldy on Friday night and needed something in the background and thought I would give it a go – and I am addicted! Netflix has series 2 – 5 on there and I am already on series 5 after a couple of weeks!! If you aren’t familiar with the show it’s like next top model with drag queens – they complete in challenges and it’s a great mix of funny and a massive bitch fest which makes for seriously addictive telly! If you need something to watch that doesn’t need too much brain power – check it out!
3 – Tanya Bakes
I used to be a huge baker – quite often I would spend weekends baking up a storm but recently I’ve lost my baking mojo, until now! Tanya is a great YouTuber and I have followed her for about a year now and she recently launched her baking book and it’s wonderful! I’ve had it for a couple of weeks and have already baked 4 recipes! I took the Terry’s Chocolate Orange cheesecake to a BBQ recently and it went down a storm! The recipes are super easy to follow and don’t have hundreds of ingredients which is amazing!
4 – Leopard Print Sandals by Next
As I mentioned above – we did experience a bit of a heatwave so it was time to unleash the toes and get some sandals to wear and I found some amazing double leopard print strap sandals from Next. These were a steal at around £24 and these are super comfortable and I just love the interest they add to an outfit and when I wore them I got SO many compliments and people assuming they were from a much more expensive brand! I think these are a great investment piece for summer!
5 – Finding Dory
This one was a sneak in right at the end of the month – being a Disney girl I was itching to see Finding Dory! I can’t believe it’s been 10 years since Finding Nemo came up but it is still one of my fav’s and the new release lives up to the hype! In true Disney style there was laughs, heart-warming moments and I even shed a little tear at one point! The story starts 1 year after Finding Nemo wraps up and Dory remembers her family and goes on an adventure to find them. I can’t recommend it enough – if you’re only going to see one film in the cinema this month it has to be this one!
So those are my July favourites – and August is set to be a super exciting month with a wine and cheese tasting, trip to Ascot and most excitingly we move into our house!! I will be writing an update soon on our house and I can’t wait to do some homeware hauls and house tour content very soon!
Hope you have all had a kick ass July – please share what you’ve been loving below!
Until next time xxx
