Maybelline Tattoo Brow – does it work?

I have been a fan of HD brows and Anastasia Brow products for a while now and have featured them both on my blog before,  but while browsing the isles of Boots I decided to pick up the Maybelline Tattoo Brow on a whim (there was a 3 for 2 on!).

This boasts to tint and give shape your eyebrows for up to 3 days (if you leave on for 2 hours). Now this is a scary product to try out initially – as if it went wrong I could very well have been left with slug eyebrows for 3 days – but I decided to take the bullet and give it a go. I left it on for the 20 minutes for 24-48 hour wear. So how did it go…

Well here is what my brows looked like before…

I picked up the darkest shade as I like my brows to be pretty bold! The application process is simple – it is a small paint brush style which makes it fairly easy to get a neat application. The product itself is fairly thick but I think that’s positive, so you know you are getting even coverage – but don’t be alarmed if it looks really dark – it doesn’t look this dark when you peel it off! It does peel off easily, and trust me it’s really satisfying to do!

For a bit of a giggle – here is what I looked like during the process!

And here is what I looked like after…

AMAZING right?! I left it on for around an hour in total and it has lasted me a fairly solid 3 days before I felt I needed to add a bit more colour. I am totally sold on this product and I can’t recommend it enough – waking up and having to do nothing but apply my Glossier boy brow was a dream!

Plus its affordable – a much cheaper alternative to HD Brows or Microblading that’s for sure! Give it a try – it’s not as scary as you think!
