The weather might not be playing ball (seriously snowing in March – where the heck is Spring!) but I am already coveting fresh, glowing spring skin and I’ve been trying out 4 new products which are seriously helping my glow up.
After watching countless videos of American and Canadian YouTubers bigging up the Loreal Pro Glow (£11.99) I was super excited that we can now purchase in the UK via Amazon exclusively. First thing I noticed is how light the texture of this foundation is – I half expected it to be thick like its matte counterpart so I was pleasantly surprised. It is a solid medium coverage which does leave your skin looking super fresh and glowy. I have also worn this for a few long days and I am impressed with it’s staying power! I will say you have to powder down any problem areas that you have or it may break apart a little – but if you set it properly you will be ready to go all day!
I am a big lover of my Tarte Shape Tape concealer but it’s a pretty matte finish but my Glossier Stretch concealer sometimes doesn’t have enough coverage to battle my dark under eyes – step in the new Conceal and Define Concealer (£4). This is pretty strong on the coverage front without setting down too matte taking away from your glowy base – plus it’s super affordable! It’s been sold out a lot of places so if you do see it, I highly recommend picking it up!
One of my favourite makeup discoveries of late is the Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Flawless Filter (£30) – this stuff really is supermodel skin in a bottle! You can use it multiple ways, under makeup, mixed in but I’ve been dotting it in a moon shape across my cheeks, cheekbones and above my brow and blending it in with a sponge and it gives your skin a super glossy finish. I have also worn this with no foundation and I’ve had tons of compliments on my skin – this is a must-have for summer skin!
As if that wasn’t enough and you want to add an extra touch of glow then the Anastasia Beverly Hills x Amrezy highlight (£29) is just stunning! I was slightly worried when this arrived it was going to be too gold, but on the skin, it is the perfect champagne sheen. I add this to the very tops of my cheekbones and cupids bow to give my pout a bit of extra plump. This has a super buttery texture and has no kickback when you use it, it almost feels wet when you run your finger across – it’s so unique but it translates to a stunning, seamless finish on the skin.
With this combination of 4 products you will have super glowy, fresh skin which I’ve worn every day I’ve been wearing makeup and are, in my opinion, some of the best new makeup releases over the past couple of months.
